He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Cottrell and Josephine Cottrell; his wife Patricia Weldon Cottrell (Patty); and his siblings, Woody Cottrell and Joan Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Robbie" Cottrell (Becky) of Walton and Juanita Lynn Miles (Mark) of Warsaw; his sister Mary Emma Mefford of Carrollton; and his niece Bonnie Bishop of Warsaw. He is also survived by Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
