He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Kirtley and Fred Woodford Kirtley; his wife Katherine "Cissie" Kirtley; and his siblings, Florian Meeks, Robert Meeks, Donald Kirtley, Charles Kirtley, Anna Bell "Sis" Meeks, Lula Mae "Skip" Jackson and Laura "Doll Baby" Kirtley.
He is survived by: his children, Gina Banther (Chip), Fred Kirtley (Shelly) and Cindy Kirtley; his sister Phyllis "Jean" Green; his grandchildren, Quinnton Begley-Kirtley (Melissa), Sydney Kirtley and Whitley Kirtley; and his great grandchildren, Sophie, Macey and Zion. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
