She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvan Cornett and Mary Muncy Cornett; her husband Thurman Simpson, Sr.; and her daughters, Brenda Simpson Hobbs and Sherri Lynn Simpson Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Thurman Simpson, Jr. of Watts Creek and Carolyn Brittain of Monroe, Ohio; and her brother Earl Cornett of Watts Creek. She is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
