He was predeceased by: his parents, Morton Ramey and Lillie Mae Turner Ramey; and his siblings, Alvin, Stanley, Estill, Warren Lee Ramey, Wilma Dailey and Bertie Ishmael.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Mae Jolly Ramey; his children, Larry Ramey of Owingsville, Brenda Planck (James) of Flemingsburg, Judy Hurst (Roger) of Wallingford, Kenny Ramey (Sherry) of Flemingsburg and Angela Hord (Bradley) of Flemingsburg; and his grandchildren, Jamie Rose, Jason Planck (Shannon), Brian Hunt (Brandi), Brandon Hunt (Michelle), Paige Hurst (Bri), Kara Mitchell (Josh), Stacy Corbin (Michael), Kory Ramey, Haley Ramey, Hayden Ramey, April Hord, Erica Conley (Adam), Molly Hord and Landon Maxey (Iretta). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.
