He is survived by: his wife Nancie "Hope" Martin Mers; his children, Matt Mers (Miranda) and Angie Mineer (Mark); his grandchildren, Austin Mineer, Skylar Weaver (Wesley) and Matti Mers; his great grandchild River David Helterbrand; and his brother Art A. Mers. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
