Ernest Prater Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Prater of Wallingford, Kentucky, who passed away on March 30, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernest Prater to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his parents, Gertrude and Willis; his sons, Lowell Clayton Prater and Rodney Dale Prater; his grandchildren, Bradley Conley and C. C. Prater; his brothers, James Lewis Prater, Carl Gene Prater and Clayton Monroe Prater; and his nephew Ronnie Lamar.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Prater Boling (Kenny) of Flemingsburg; his sister Sandy Prater of Wallingford; his daughter-in-law Caren Prater of Flemingsburg; his grandchildren, Dennis Conley of Maysville, Todd Conley of Goddard and Shae Prater of Flemingsburg; his great grandchildren, Makayla Conley, Emma Conley and Camden Conley; and his niece Tammy Prater Purdon (Marty) of Wallingford.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Boone-Nickell (150 W Water St, Flemingsburg, KY 41041). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
