He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Messer; his nephews, Duane Bingham and Jimmy Ferrell; his sister-in-law Geraldine Messer; his caregiver Shirley Stewart; and his stepdaughter Alicia Dawn Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends and loved ones.
