He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alfred McFerron, Alice McFerron (Robbins), Parnic Lee and Flora Barons (Stevens); and his siblings, Jessie Ray Barons, Joyce Barons and Lois Barons.
He is survived by: his parents, Herman Harvey and Mary Ellen Barons (McFerron); his daughters, Tanya Van Winkle of Berea and Vicki McKinney (James) of College Hill; his siblings, Ernie Barnes (Armilda), Ronnie Barnes, Donnie Barnes (Imogene), Gerald Barnes, Tony Barnes (Vickie), Benny Barnes (Charity), Carolyn Rose (Don), Minnie Hopkins and Donna Northern (Charles); his grandchildren, Tori Dawn Gregg, Cierra Ramsey, James Nicholas McKinney, James Robert Van Winkle, Kristen Nichole McKinney, Shawn Douglas McKinney and Logan Hunter Van Winkle; and his great grandchildren, Ellie Mae Bowman and Elizabeth Gwenabelle Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
