He is survived by: his parent Only Lorraine Smith Deatherage; his daughter Regina Hope Pennington (David) of Winston-Salem, NC; his sister Tonda Mae Deatherage of Richmond; his grandsons, Alexander William Pennington and Zachary Michael Pennington; his nieces, Michelle Jones (Steve Tipton) and Kristy Jones; his great-nephew Hunter Jones; and his great-niece Kayla Gibson.
