It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Floyd Cates (Waco, Kentucky), who passed away on March 31, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Azzy Cates and Pair Lee Taylor Cates; his wife Marie Branson Cates; and his son Floyd "Buck" Cates, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Ima Jean Gooch, Ella Lee Farthing, Wanda Faye Hisle (Vernon), Linda Sue Baker (Wendell) and Janet C. Baker (Bobby); his daughter-in-law Stella Cates; and his grandchildren, Calvin Gooch, Gregory Farthing, Vernon Junior Hisle, Michael Hisle, Michelle Webb, Christopher Floyd Cates, Marsha Denny, Marlena Baker, Joshua Baker and Cassandra Baker. He is also survived by 15 Great-grandchildren and 6 Great-great grandchildren.
