He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Roberts and Bertha Hall Roberts; his wife Doris Jean Roberts; his sons-in-law, Elder Michael A. Johnson and Roy C. Newsome; and his siblings, Alice Tackett, Anna Mitchell, Alverta Brown, Homer Roberts, Wilburn Roberts, Bennie J. Roberts, Kermit Roberts, Bullie Roberts and Warren G. Roberts.

He is survived by: his children, Tony Roberts (Ramona) of Lick Fork, Dianna Ball (Michael) of Robinson Creek, Carlene Johnson of Tinker Fork and Tootie Stepp (Charlie) of Monroe, GA; and his siblings, Chester Roberts (Bonnie), Jerry Dale Roberts, Edith Johnson and Judy Younce. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
