It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Edward Blackburn (Virgie, Kentucky), who passed away on March 23, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbet Blackburn and Mary Keene Blackburn Waldon; his children, Cynthia Lynn Blackburn and Danny Edward Trivette; and his siblings, Robert Bob Blackburn, Betty Sue and Bonnie.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Sue Carter Blackburn; his children, Kathryn Owens (Michael), Tammie Nelson, David Ray Blackburn (Barbara), Freddie Edward Blackburn, Gregory Ray Blackburn (Barbara), Stephen Mark Blackburn and Christopher Edward Blackburn; and his siblings, Corbet Blackburn Jr. (Lois), Phillip Blackburn, Imolene Metcalf, Berniece Ramey, Donna Rita and Leda Carol Branham. He is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
