He was predeceased by: his parents, Toy Tackett and Frona Vanover Tackett; and his siblings, Raymond, Russell, Walter, Jimmy, Obie, Marlow, Sadie Rose, Doris Mullins, Patty Johnson and Lora Tackett.
He is survived by: his children, Marlon Tackett (Wendy) of Poor Bottom, Freddy Tackett of Ohio, Randy Tackett of Pennsylvania, Ronnie Hall of Caney Creek, Terry Newsome of Ohio, Todd Tackett of Georgia, Tommy Tackett of Illinois, Brandon Leslie of Pikeville, Tammy Britton of Indiana and Neidra Dawn Akers of Grethel; and his siblings, Lonnie Tackett (Patsy) of Dorton and Audrey Nunemaker of Tennessee. He is also survived by great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
