He was predeceased by: his parents, Onsby Lee and Alma Jewell Tackett; and his brothers, Gordon Tackett, Jerry Tackett, Phillip Tackett and Conley Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Hampton Tackett; his brother Scotty Tackett (Sandy) of Virgie; his siblings-in-law, Blake Collier of Virgie, Carolyn Tackett, Teresa Tackett and Judy Tackett; and his sisters, Yvette Runyon and Robin Edmonds. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
