He was predeceased by: his father Noble Newsom; and his former wife Paulette Newsom. He is survived by: his wife Mary Younce Newsom; his sons, John Kevin Newsom (Delana) of Mt. Sterling and Tony Newsom (Bridget) of Sevierville, TN; his stepsons, Eric Tackett (Misty) of Pikeville and Aaron Tackett (Brandy) of Floyd County; his daughters, Micah Adkins (TR) of Little Robinson, Haley Newsom (John) of Indian Creek and Chasity Cochran of Pikeville; his brothers, Barry K. Newsom (Marsha) of Zebulon and Jeffrey S. Newsom (Cyndi) of Indian Creek; his grandchildren, Jacob Riley Newsom, Gage Newsom, Gavin Newsom, Brady Bentley, Bryce Bentley, Maycie Bentley, Boston Adkins, Jase White, Hayden White, Hudson White, Abby, Maggie, Levi and Rett; and his stepgrandchildren, Brooklyn, Alyssa, Erica and Kaleb.
