He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Casteel and George Steffey, Jr.; his siblings, Sam Steffey and Joella Steffey; and his grandson Christopher Steffey.
He is survived by: his wife Tammie Steffey of Kingsport; his stepsons, Nick Hamilton (Kathy) and Zackery Hamilton (Terra); his stepgrandchildren, Hannah Osborne of Kentucky, Jocelyn Osborne of Kentucky and Myla Grace Hamilton of Kentucky; his children, Angela Lang (Russ) of Kingsport, Amanda Colantonio of Greenville, SC, Jennifer Steffey of Beaufort, SC and Cary Steffey (Debra) of Kingsport; his stepmother Nannie Steffey; his siblings, Manuel Steffey (Carolyn), Randall Steffey, Ron Steffey (Sue), Charles Lester Steffey, Martha "Rosie" Steffey-Pendley (Mike) of Kingsport, Joyce Steffey-Pendergrass and N. Myrtle Beach; his grandchildren, Ashton, Dominique, Elizabeth, Gabe, Iris and Josh; and his great grandchildren, Cadence, Caytlin Marie, Camden and Cason James. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
