She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Sowards and Sally Mullins Sowards; her husband Fred Baker; her children, Larry Baker, Gary Baker, Neil Baker and Barbara Ann Beverly; her siblings, Rudolph Sowards, Jack Sowards, Ben Sowards, Delphia Maddox, Mary Clem, Goldie Wright, Viola McPeek and Martha Mullins; and her daughters-in-law, Gail Baker and Chyrell Baker.
She is survived by: her son Michael Baker of Pikeville; her children-in-law, Glen Beverly and Peggy Baker; her sister Helen Newsome; her grandchildren, Shannon Beverly, Jason Beverly (Patrece), Rebel Baker Chreste (Dan), Fred Baker (Kathy), Brady Baker (Missy), Brandy Baker and Brad Baker (Brandy); her stepgrandsons, Will Brown (LaDawn), James Taylor and Linton Taylor; and her close friends, Denise Smallwood, Lisa Burke and Doris Tackett. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and six step great-great-grandchildren.
