Though Herl may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Burke and Stewart Burke of Arizona; and his siblings, Ferl Burke and Earthie Ann Burke. He is survived by: his wife Fern Johnson Burke; his sons, Gregory Herl Burke (Sheryl) of Dorton and Craig Merl Burke (Amy) of Greer, SC; and his grandchildren, Elijah Harvey Burke (Kayla), Aidan Craig Burke and Molly Louise Burke.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Hall and Jones Funeral Home (1101 KY-610, Virgie, KY 41572). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
