It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garrett Tackett of Virgie, Kentucky, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stoney Tackett and Martha Moore Tackett; and his grandson Colton Layne. He is survived by: his wife Regina Johnson Tackett; his children, Christopher Tackett (Heather Holloway) of Dorton, Courtney Justice (Matt) and Robin Jablonski (Michael) of Arnold, Missouri; his mother-in-law Jackie Bartley of Dorton; his siblings, Dwayne Tackett of Elkhorn and Teresa Doyle of Elkhorn; his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Johnson of Dorton, Misty Goff of Dorton and Sandy Wyatt of Jenkins; and his grandchildren, Caleb, Cassidy, Bella, Jaxson, Madison and Greyson.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Dorton General Baptist Church (371 Dorton St, Jenkins, KY 41537). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
