Chester Newsome Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2025, at the age of 72, Chester Newsome of Virgie, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Newsome Newsome. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Damron Newsome; his children, Ryan Newsome (Gretchen), Alisha Emmons (Jimmy) and Alexandria Newsome (Tim Hopkins); his brother Vester Newsome (Linda); his nieces, Carmen Hall-Lamb and Cara Schwalbach; his sister-in-law Evelyn Hall (David); and his grandchildren, Will and Braylee.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
