She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Raphael "Dee" Whelan; her parents, Joe Thomas and Elizabeth Dunn Thomas; and her siblings, Kenneth Thomas, Vincent Thomas, Warden Thomas, Marion Thomas, Dean Thomas and Wava Goodman.
She is survived by: her children, Gail Tassin (Keith), DeNeil Whelan (Linda) and Larry Whelan (Paulette); and her siblings, Betty Jean Hager and Randal Dalph Thomas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
