He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Paul Edward Helton II (Kelly) and Sandra Helton (Norman Edelson); his grandsons, David Helton and Grant Helton; his sisters, Christine Moore (Helton) and Grace Conley (Helton); his half-brother George Helton; his parents, Alka Mae (Colllins Conley) and Warren Helton; and his wife Ella Rae Helton (VanHoose).
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 858 in Chandlersville, Kentucky, and he was a Kentucky Colonel Because of COVID-19, there will be a viewing and funeral services for immediate family only at the Jones Preston Funeral home in Paintsville, Kentucky, on April 20, 2020, followed by burial at the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky.
