He was predeceased by: his father Robert B. Lancaster, Jr.; his aunt Linda McDaniel; and his nephew Dylan Preston. He is survived by: his sisters, Brenda Lancaster, Kathy Hensley (Willie) and Sharon Murphy (John); his nieces and nephews, Alysha Lykins, Michael Lancaster, Linda Thomas, Michelle Donoho, Joyce Banfield, April Lancaster, Chuck Fauver, Adam Fauver, Jennifer Lancaster, Elizabeth Lancaster, Arianna Roark, Gabriella Roark and Isabella Roark; his close friend John Raymond; and his cousin Melinda Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kentucky Equine Education Project http://www.thekeepfoudation.org.
