He was predeceased by: his parents, Zaner Zerkle and Erma Leonard Zerkle; and his daughter Rhonda Marcum. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Richard Zerkle; and his children, Robert Andrew Zerkle (Amy), Kimberly Zerkle Abney and Michelle Bretz (Dale). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
