He was predeceased by: his father George S. "Jake" Mims; and his daughter Bridget Miller. He is survived by: his mother Grace Gibson Mims; his children, James Mims (Susan) of Venice, FL and Amy Stephens (Eric); his grandchildren, Thomas Mims (Jessica) of Evansville, IN and Samantha Stephens; and his daughter Linda Tondreau.
