It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Clay Garrett of Versailles, Kentucky, born in Burkesville, Kentucky, who passed away on July 20, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Garrett and Inis Garrett; and his brother Homer Clifton Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Garrett; his children, Jeff Garrett (Mary Lynn Garrett) and Charolett Payne (Richard Payne); his grandchildren, Ben Garrett, Dr. Morgan Garrett Shields (Daniel Shields), Joy Stevens (Mark Stevens) and Jason Payne (Corey Payne); and his great grandchildren, Simon, Scarlett Vaughn, Ezra, Eliza and Judah Payne.
