She was predeceased by: her spouse Sidney Ray Simandle; her parents, Everett Cecil and Ruby Queen Owenby; and her siblings, Eschol Owenby, Sherrill Owenby Kisselburg, Margaret Owenby Wakefield, Wanda Owenby Barker and William "Bill" Owenby.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy Simandle, Susan Simandle and Stanton Simandle (Lynn McCoy); her grandchildren, Sarah Simandle, Kessler McCoy-Simandle (Andrew Spevak) and Chandler McCoy-Simandle; and her great grandchildren, Shaw Spevak and Josiah Allen.
