Marie K. Young Obituary
Marie K. Young, age 63 of Versailles, passed away Thursday, January 6 2022 at Bradford Square in Frankfort. She was born July 9, 1958 in East Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Paul and Marie Smith. Marie was a former accountant for Ara-Mark and attended St. Luke Catholic Church in Nicholasville. A horse enthusiast, Marie was heavily involved in the equine industry raising, breeding and showing horses as well as Dressage Performance. Marie was a proud mother and grandmother who loved her sons and grandchildren very much. She is survived by: two sons, Sean (Megan) Young of Nicholasville, and Christopher Young (Jenna Kanczes) of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandsons, Waylon Young, and Garret Young; her significant other, Craig Young; and siblings, Gerry Griffin, Paul Smith, Annette Spadaro, and Marilyn Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held 1:00 – 3:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
