He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Long and Bertha Peck Long; and his siblings, Helen Long, Baraba Long and David Long.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Bell Long; his sister Lois Byrd; and his stepdaughters, Penny Wilson of Versailles, Peggy Hager of Versailles, Roberta Ramey (Leslie) of Versailles and Angie Moreno. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
