James Douglas Matthews Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Douglas Matthews (Versailles, Kentucky), who passed away on October 11, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Matthews and Josphine Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Ethelwyn; his children, Mark (Gwen), Mary Beth Elvidge (Kevin), Melaynie Summers (David) and Meleah Rubio (Ricardo); his sister Norma Jean McClain; his grandchildren, Jay Matthews (Lyndsay), Alex Matthews (Sarah), Riley Matthews, Keegan Elvidge and Luke Rubio; and his great grandchildren, Harlyn, Raegan, Tyler Matthews and Judah Matthews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
