He is survived by: his mother Janet Wethington Lay; his wife Charity Fryman Lay; his children, James Nicholas "Nick" Lay of Georgetown, Dawson Hunter Lay of Georgetown, Kamryn Gregory Lay of Georgetown and Kinsley Addison Lay of Georgetown; his father William Lay, Sr.; and his siblings, Sherri Ping (Shon) and Billy Lay, Jr. (Kae). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
