She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Clay and Clyde Giles McDonald; her husband James M. Smith; her grandson William Foster Tichenor; and her siblings, J. C. "Tate" McDonald and Norma Jean Wood.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Tichenor (Carey). She is also survived by extended family and friends.
