He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Simpson and Catherine Dorsey Thomas; and his close friend Jackie Olson Young. He is survived by: his children, Bryan William Simpson (Heather), Scott Simpson (Michele) and Tammy Reed; and his siblings, Joyce Rose, Kathy Roe, Dorothy Choates and Dwayne Simpson (Connie). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
