He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Dozier Wilson; and his parents, Jessie P. Wilson and Cora McKee Wilson. He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Wilson; his stepson Jack Whitaker; and his stepgrandson John Whitaker (Terri).
