Cheryl Ann Kraus Obituary
Cheryl Ann Kraus, 66, of Versailles, widow of the late John A. "Butchie" Kraus, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at her home. She was born September 15, 1955 in Mount Vernon, New York to the late Joseph A. DiNunzio and the late Flora Rose Davidson DiNunzio. Cheryl was a 1973 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and 1994 graduate of Mercy College, New York. She retired most recently from Terry's 5 and 10, Versailles, Kentucky. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister Jacqueline (aka Jackie) Smith.
The most important thing Cheryl will be remembered by is her love for her family, whether you were her siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews she had a special way to be there when you needed her the most. Cheryl loved being called "Nana" and spending time with her grandchildren brought her so much happiness and joy. Cheryl also enjoyed being Jessica Walton's "Ride or Die" partner on their many rides together.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, 161 Broadway Street, Versailles, Kentucky. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, Pastor Bobby Cairell officiating. Burial will follow the service at 2:30 pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Dallas Pennington, Steven Pennington, Brandon Walton, Paul Reese, Max Weiss and Jason Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
