It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Winkfield (Versailles, Kentucky), who passed away on December 19, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wade Smith, Sr. and Margaret Rowe Polk. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Christian (Omar) of Lexington and William Bennett of Lexington; her siblings, William Wade Smith, Jr. (Sally), Ruby of Washington, Mary Bush (Herbert) of Versailles, Rev. Willis G. Polk (LaDonna) of Versailles, Frances Waters of Versailles, Burnett Polk (Bernadette) and Lena (Reginald); her grandchildren, Alyssia Winkfield, Thaimar Winkfield, Cheyenne Christian, William Bennett, Jr., Stefon Bennett and Stephen Bennett; and her great grandchildren, Quincy Givens, Kori Eley, Germany Mobley, Mary Trent, Geraldine Berry, Barbara Scott and Margaret Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Those attending the visitation and services must wear facial coverings and follow all social distancing guidelines.
