He was predeceased by: his parents, Ledford Mahan and Eliza Mahan; and his siblings, Paul Mahan, Catherine Wright and Lavada Mahan.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Mahan; his children, Jeremy Mahan (Tiffany) and Connie Fryman (Randy); his siblings, Gene Mahan (Linda), Walter Mahan (Irene), Alfred Mahan (Sylvia), Eddie Mahan (Donna), Virginia Hamm, Mary Woods, Louise Holbrook, Dorothy Lucas and Lena Goebel; his grandchildren, Payton Mahan, Sean Mahan, Cheyenne Sargent, Savannah Sargent, Jerry Sargent and Hailey Sargent; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt Mahan and Jaelynn Mahan.
