Mona Crabtree Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mona Crabtree of Vanceburg, Kentucky, born in Cynthiana, Kentucky, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father William Paul Schanding; her grandparents, Thomas William, Zelphia Schanding (Mane), Millard and Mae Turner (Dunham); and her parents-in-law, Thomas Stevens "Tom" and Theresa Ann Crabtree (Smith).
She is survived by: her mother Mable Bernice Schanding (Turner) of Madison, IN; her husband Thomas Stevens "Steve" Crabtree II; her son Eric Crabtree (Lindsey) of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren, Abigail and Harrison Crabtree of Lexington, KY; her siblings, Paul Douglas "Doug" Schanding (Becky) of Saint Simons Island, GA and Karen Lewellyn (Doug) of Madison, IN; her siblings-in-law, Gene and Donna Crabtree of Pleasant, IN; and her nieces and nephews, Sarah Lewellyn (Kris Mott), Paul Schanding, Lauren Schanding, Tommy Crabtree (Megan Singleton) and James Crabtree (Shelby Romans). She is also survived by her several great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home (208 Ferry St, Vevay, IN 47043). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky or Crabtree Family Endowment Fund for Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
