He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Applegate and Mary Boling Applegate; his son Donnie Applegate; and his sisters, Judy Sweet, Gladys Fredrick, Bessie Myers, Frannie Brooks and Delores Hick.
He is survived by: his brothers, Cecil, Tom, Fred Allen, Ronnie, Harold Lloyd and Kenny Applegate; his children, Mandie Sizemore (Chad) of Vanceburg, Angie Speckner (Larry) of Tampa, Florida., Jason Applegate (Sarah Gibson) of Lexington and Josh Applegate (Angela Brock) of Flemingsburg; his grandchildren, Lexie Sizemore, Ethan Sizemore and Jaxon Sizemore; and his siblings, Ilene Bailey of Irvine Ky, Robert Applegate of Tollesboro and Stanley Applegate (Kellie) of Sharonville, Ohio..
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gaydos Funeral Home (159 2nd St, Vanceburg, KY 41179). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
