He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Penix and Tina Penix; his grandmother Connie Cooper; and his uncles, Arnett and Christopher Hogston.

He is survived by: his wife Courtney; his daughter Haven Penix of Portsmouth, OH; his siblings, Keith Penix (Jennifer) of Paintsville, KY, Christina McNeil (Devyn) of Stout and Ashley Munion of Portsmouth; his mother-in-law Lori Grooms; his grandfather Bo Musick; his aunt Shannon; his uncle Ray Scott; and his extended family, Tammy and Roger Brannan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the D. W. Swick Funeral Home (5951 Gallia St, Portsmouth, OH 45662). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
