He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Maynard and Viola Sartin Maynard; his siblings, Nathan Jay Maynard, Tennis Maynard, Leonard Maynard, Bettey Johnson, Irene Marcum and Joann C. Davis; and his son Elmer Lee Maynard (Cowboy).
He is survived by: his siblings, Christine Grisco, Merline Maynard (Glen) and James Maynard; his children, Steven Maynard (Cassarina) of Beauty, KY, Tabitha Jane Staton of Paintsville, KY, Ronnie Maynard (Mary) of Inez, KY, Robin Burchett of Inez, KY and Terry Maynard of Inez, KY; and his stepchildren, Tina Jude (Troy) of River, KY and Scott Davis (Tammy) of Wolfcreek, KY.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
