He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Mauzy and Ellen Abney Mauzy; and his siblings, JP, Shirley Mauzy and Virene Cummings.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Wagner Mauzy; his daughters, Lisa Thompson and Teresa Westerfield (Bruce); his stepson David Waters; his grandchildren, Paige Thompson, Jesse Thompson (Taylor), Allie Thompson, Bryson Westerfield (Amber) and Garrett Westerfield; his great grandchildren, John Byron Thompson and Baby Westerfield; and his stepgrandchildren, Matt and Samantha Waters. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
