He was predeceased by: his mother Mable Humphrey Howell; and his son Jeffery Howell. He is survived by: his father John Howell; his wife Pauline Howell; his son Brian Howell of Warsaw; his stepchildren, Joe James (Lisa) of Evansville, Julie Bell (David) of Evansville and Leslie Marie Ferrer (Jeff) of Knoxville, Tennessee; and his sister Pat Mosley (Jim) of Florida. He is also survived by grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
