He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Barnett and Mae Allen Barnett; and his siblings, Pete Barnett, Clay Barnett, Susie Allen, Bobby Barnett, Coy Barnett, Dorothy Ralph, Jean Heifner and Fay Kessinger.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Marie Barnett; his daughters, Pam Barnett and Christy Shields (Johnny "Bub"); his grandchildren, Nicole Mattingly (Michael), Ashton Stiff (Nathan), Garrett Wathen (Taylor), Marcus Shields and Gavin Wathen; his great grandchildren, Hadley, Chloe, Sophia Mattingly, Lila, Tate Stiff and Miles Wathen; and his siblings, Roy Barnett, Ernestine Allen-Adams and Connie Sue Cockrell. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Ridge Church of God (11 Boling Rd, Utica, KY 42376). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
