He was predeceased by: his son Ronald Lee Atherton; and his grandson Gregory Lee Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Helen Ruth Atherton; his daughter Rebecca Wilson of Mary Esther, FL; his grandchildren, David Brian Wilson II of Mary Esther, FL and Tessa Taylor (Donn) of Tampa, FL; and his sister Mildred Atherton of Utica.
