She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Bassett and Jacqueline Estes Bassett; and her husband Billy J. Whitworth. She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Hemingway (Tom) of Utica, Robin Selby (Kevin) of Evansville and Nancy Carol Wilson of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Ben Wilson (Gina), Christopher Easler (Terri), Samantha Phillips (Rob), Colin Wilson (Michelle), Jennifer Hatcher (Zach), Rachel Foreman (Austin), Nick Selby (Erica) and Kalib Selby (Tabitha); and her sisters-in-law, Naomi Wilson of Owensboro, Lois Ann Clayton of Owensboro and Sue Baggarly of Owensboro. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Maceo Baptist Church or the Glenville Baptist Church, both in Daviess County.
