She was predeceased by: her parents, James Earl and Nora Durham Ling; her husband Herman M. Thompson; her siblings, Margaret Smith, Lee Ling and Ray Ling; her sons-in-law, Danny Lively and Larry Hines; and her grandson Bud Lively.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dolores Lively, Sandy Hines and Brenda Baxter (Robert); and her sister Betty Elledge. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
