He was predeceased by: his mother Retha Edmonson; and his brother Michael "Mickey" Penrod. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Penrod; his sons, Billy Penrod (Crystal) and Larry Penrod Jr. (Jeannie); his grandchildren, Kaylee, Keaton Penrod, Jordan Holcomb (Jordan), Ginger Smathers (David) and Jeremy Penrod; and his sister Darlene Reynolds. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
