He was predeceased by: his father Lester Allain; and his siblings, Lester Heidingsfelder and Hilda Heidingsfelder. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tinsley Heidingsfelder; his siblings, Lionel Heidingsfelder (Vicki) and Sylvia Giles (Henry); his children, John Heidingsfelder Jr., Lauren Thrasher and Jen Traore; his stepchildren, Allen Tinsley, Teresa Morris, Burl Weedman, Allison Woods and Clayton Henderson; his grandchildren, Tommy Birch, Elijah Birch and Jam Traore; and his parents-in-law, Bill Toomey (Donna), Roy Toomey (Tara), Mark Toomey (Darlene), Pam Toomey, Christy Swan (Byron) and Tim Cambron. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
