He is survived by: his parents, Charles Statts, Jr. (Angie) and Janice Ann Ezell Turner (James); his wife Valerie Wimsatt Statts; his son Brett Statts; and his siblings, Michael Statts (Annette) and Andrea Statts-Leeper. He is also survived by one nephew and several nieces.
